About the company
Sinba is a social enterprise and Certified B Corporation founded in 2017, focusing on waste reduction. They have designed a system by which food waste is processed into animal feed at a BioFactory, then distributed to local farms, which are connected to Sinba's network of food businesses to close the loop. Additionally, inorganic recyclables are processed in partnership with formal recycling cooperatives and distributed to local industries. They have 2 waste recovery facilities operating at industrial scale. Since inception they have trained 12,500 people in zero waste strategies, recycled 4,100 tons of organic waste, and mitigated 6,350 tons of CO2eq.
